Sweeney’s Pool Service is seeking a Lead Service Technician to join our growing team. This is not a pool maintenance position—we’re looking for someone with a solid grasp of the service side, particularly pool equipment, automation systems, and repairs. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair heaters, filters, pumps (including variable speed pumps), automation systems, and saltwater conversions

• Program variable speed pumps and ensure proper operation of all pool equipment

• Perform accurate diagnostics and leak detection, ensuring all systems are functioning properly

• Provide on-site tutorials for new pool owners, explaining equipment operation and maintenance best practices

• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, management, and the scheduling department

• Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and ensure all tools and parts are properly stocked

• Lead by example, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a pool service mechanic

• Experience installing and programming variable speed pumps, salt systems, heaters, filters, and automation systems

• Some electrical experience preferred (e.g., wiring salt systems and heaters)

• Strong knowledge of pool automation systems (Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, etc.)

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Must be punctual, professional, and detail-oriented

• Willing to listen to management and the scheduling department

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Must pass a background check

• Reliable transportation
